From the Artist... I have always been inspired by nature. The relationship between men and nature and the snippets of everyday day life, like a simple sentence in a conversation or a breath taken between a thought and another. I have always loved wondering around in ecstasy with the camera creating stories. I must have been 5 years old the first time I hold a camera. The world is a pretty wonderful place and human beings are the most complex of all creations. Photography to me is a life drive; it’s balance, patience and collectiveness. It is the existence measured in time. ‘If existence precedes essence and we will to exist at the same time as we fashion our image, that image is valid for all and for the entire epoch in which we find ourselves’, said Sartre. Photographers such Sebastiao Salgado, Sally Mann, Man Ray and Helmut Newton have a great influence in my work as a photographer. I think exploring and having a connection with my subjects are essential to my creative process. In the end of the day, my work is not about what I can get. It is about what is given to me.
